American Airlines is currently expanding opening 15 new gates at Dallas-Fort Worth International.
American explained from Terminal E will let it add over 100 daily flights onto its own American Eagle affiliate, the gates that opened.
By early June, Fort Worth-based American plans to run more than 900 daily flights out of DFW, up from 800. It’s including 23 new destinations and flights into existing ones.
The transfer is freeing up room for six gates to get bigger Airlines planes at Terminal B.
Company President Robert Isom said last week this year that DFW will accounts for the majority of American’s expansion.
Isom says reservations and revenue for the flights are somewhat higher than American’s systemwide average.
